1: Innsbruck – the capital of the Austrian state of Tyrol, it was the host of the World Winter Olympics twice, in the 60′s and the 70′s, and it will host the first Youth Winter Olympics in 2012. You can imagine what kind of ski slopes and ski resorts they have there!

2: Kitzbuehel – long ago it was a mining town, but now it’s one of the best places for skiing in the country, thanks to its numerous 5 star ski resorts and hotels and amazing mountains. It is generally regarded as a resort for VIPs, because there are many sports and TV celebrities that go there each year.

3: Salzburg – one of the most important cities in Austria, Salzburg is not only the capital of the federal state with the same name, it is also an attractive place for ski lovers, because going down the slopes on the mountains nearby offers a fantastic panoramic view of the whole city and the valleys close to it.

4:Obertauern – situated in the federal state of Salzburg, this is one refreshing resort, a jewel of a town encircled by beautiful mountains, with ski slopes for all kinds of skiers, from beginners to the best experts.
