You’re watching the visit counts, and you’re watching from where people are coming into your site, and you’re watching activity on your site. It’s so key, because you have to figure out who it is that’s visiting, not just that you have visitors. You have to begin to paint a picture of what this person must be like, in order to figure out if what your marketing, the way you’re marketing, is actually working. It’s not merely about the raw stats of, “Well I’m ranking high on search results pages.” That’s not good enough. And this is why business owners farm marketing out to James Brown firms, because of the fact that this is so intense; the business is so intense, and it’s a full time operation all on its own. And it takes time.
