What Luggage Can I Take on Eurostar?

Eurostar trains run from London to Paris or Brussels, and via connecting trains, offer a choice of destinations throughout Europe, including Amsterdam and Cologne. These trains are one of the best and most relaxing ways to travel for both business and pleasure. On Eurostar trains, each passenger can take on board up to two medium-sized items, plus a small piece of hand luggage, with no weight restrictions. You are allowed to bring more, but it must be checked in and you will pay an excess luggage charge of £25 per item. Anything bulky (such as trunks or bicycles), or classified as a sporting item or collector knife or weapon, or longer than 85 cm, cannot be brought on board and must be transported by baggage service. Also, check the online list of items for those prohibited for transport through the Channel Tunnel.

These rules for baggage service apply only on the London Paris Train, the London Brussels train, or the London Lille train, both ways, and does not apply to other Eurostar destinations, or beyond.

You can also send your baggage ahead of you; it will then be at your Eurostar destination when you arrive. You’re allowed to register your baggage up to thirty minutes before departure.
