Touring Russia
Russia is an independent country officially known as the Russian Federation. It is the worlds largest country and is almost twice the size of the next largest country, Canada. Russia extends across the Eastern Europe and northern Asia. Four-fifths of the Russian population lives in the European part of Russia at the west of the Ural Mountains. Moscow is the capital where administrative, commercial, industrial, and cultural functions are exercised.
Russia has a lot to offer for those who want to visit this wonderful place. Since the weather tends to be cold, with long winters and short summers, one could enjoy the tundra part in Siberia. South of it is the forested land called taiga where a multitude of wild animals can be found? Steppes can also be found here, rolling grasslands which are plowed and planted for farming.
Also, the arts are rich in Russia. Writers such as Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Anton Chekhov penned great works of literature. Musicians such as Peter Tchaikovsky and Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov Used Conservatory to compose influential music.
